Need to tune it bellbat

I went on the forum cruise over the weekend, it was a good day out and probably the longest single drive the car has been on since the build... The car performed flawlessly! (Almost) with the only issue being that one of the cooler clamps came off... Non issue really, I have bought a heap of clamps from a truck spare parts shop, they are wider and have an extra loop around, so I'll double them up on every join and hopefully I'll never have an issue with them again

As for everything else, I'm extremely happy, using the gears through the mountain were good, part throttle and wot up shifts as commanded every time and even down shifts/engine breaking worked a treat...

I actually got 160km out of about 3/8 tank of fuel as the first part of the cruise was quite tame, but the way home stuffed that right up, using more then half tank in the 100km freeway drive home... But to be fair, there were quite a few 4-5 WOT moments, (120-260ish) it got the commanded timing, commanded lambda and was holding 28psi ... the box held that like a champ aswell

My 2 week old tyres are on the "unroadworthy" side from afew spirited moments on the cruise, which somehow happen every time I drive the frigen thing, I just can't help myself... But I have a few decisions to make, throw some more cheap

245/35/19's on or fit some 265/35/19 on these rims, or track down some 9/9.5" GT 335 wheels and put some decent rubber on them... But if I do that there's more chance of the rear end failing, which I can't afford right now.... Hmmmm

Thanks guys

whilst retaining traction is a good idea, sometimes you just have to save those diff bushes and create smoke from tyres instead haha

Peppy , is there a chance of you doing a trans tuning tutorial outlining what tables you changed and why?. Even along with a copy of your tune would be good but a tutorial would help most.

A quote from a Nizpro article. " We calibrate the TCU for extra apply and clutch holding pressures, shorten full throttle up shift times whilst adjusting torque reduction strategies"

I'm definitely not going to do a tutorial Trana as I'm merely changing things that make sense for me to change, I have only made very small adjustments so far... if you look through the tune a few things should stand out, actually that article you mentioned has a few big tips to point you in the right direction.. PM me your number, or something and we can have a chat if you like

My response to your question on HPT Forum

Pep, Im convinced there is a flash counter on the ZF. I find after around 30 writes this happens.

Do a read entire and then try to flash it.

I know it's been a while, but after a few hours on the dyno, I found a happy place... I'll do a full write up tomorrow.. But for now, I'm leaving it at 448kw @ 5500rpm and 1000nm from 3500-6000rpm!!
