Std main cap torque is 62ftlb and ARP is 90ftlb,

correct 62ftlb = 85nm

Arp 90ftlb = 122nm

And std main bearing clearance is between 0.025mm-0.04mm

which is 0.00098"-0.00157

All good, you had me questioning myself, I guess that's what this forum is all about ...

But yea by the time it gets line bored we should end up around the 0.0025"-0.0027" all round on the mains... But I can't remember what we set the conrods at, I'll have to look at my notes, but it was smaller then 0.0025"

My machinist originally recommended .004"!! And dad wanted .0015" so we compromised with .0025"...

Anyway moral of the story is I shouldn't be putting the pressure on, just let him with at his own pace... And everything else will be triple checked...

For the record, powerplay is 3 weeks away.... Not looking good

It's back at the machine shop... Getting the crank checked for straightness, caps machined and tunnel bored...

On the positive side we should be starting on the box tomorrow..

I've also been doing my research on spark boosters... I originally wanted to go with the Kenne bell boost a spark, it used to have in cabin voltage control, which helps with dialing in the voltage... They have since removed the remote making it no better then the msd, or ice boosters...

The JMS kit that Herrod sells has the voltage control, mounting brackets and a loom, so Im going to go with that one
