I took Pep for a drive up north to my sisters, I wanted some realistic economy figures, so here they are..

it's a 230km drive each way, probably 80% freeway with cruise control set to 130 and a/c on, 20% stop start driving.. I made it up there using abit over a 1/4 tank! I couldn't believe it, the average trip economy was showing 12.7l/100km and This is e85!

I brought 3 20l gerri cans with me just in case.. Done a little bit of driving while up there, poured in 20l before we left which took it pretty much back up to full... The drive home was a little more spirited but didn't use much more fuel and the average moved up to 13.3l/100km..

Last night we went for a squirt, I poured another 20l in before leaving which brought it close to full again.. Now this is still freeway driving but a little different, a few more cars involved and you generally need 400+kW to come out, so you can imagine what the go is..

So today the average economy read 14.9I/100km (not bad) I filled up, 45l went in and the dash read 581km since I stopped at the servo Friday night

So 40l from gerri cans and 45l = 85l of fuel

(85/581)x100 = 14.62l/100km

Not too shabby IMO I guess the ceramic coating and porting helped towards that

Now in saying that, around town it's less then desirable, but I'm interested in doing some more realistic every day economy figures..

Thanks guys

Funny you mention the economy as I just done 300 kays yesterday to and from Sydney with city driving at both ends. Did 300 kays to 40 litres so about 13.5 per hundred. In car said 12.1 ha.

Alot better then the 20 odd I get around town lol.
