nice thread, Joe! everything looks to be coming together slowly but surely.

Should be a ripper once it's done! :buttrock:

kudos to your old engine for still performing with all of that wear :)

Jet I'm hearing that the BF and FG cams have the same ford part number?

Thanks Keith, I can't wait to get it finished..

Interesting Rip85.. Which oil hole are you referring to? The small end has oil holes, but requires splash to get oil in there, I have heard of some that have a hole drilled through the centre so oil is fed from the big end?? Is that what you mean

yes from the bigend to little end heres a picture from a slandered f6 bf rod that has them defiantly worth doing as the manly rods don't have them. atomic rods howard rods also have the oil feed from the bigend. I had excessive wear on my bearings in the original motor but may have been due to them not fitting the oil ring correctly and contaminating the oil it was only 3500km old

Rip85, just having a think about that, the reason for the oil feed is to help lubricate the pin and cool the crown, it shouldn't effect your bearings at all? The oil is fed through the crank to the big end
