Cop spec dude no pillar tweeters. The speakers I have you can mount the tweeters on the woofer with a bracket that can angle them in various directions till you get the treble up high so I did that.

It's not the sub it's self. But it's the fact that the premium audio amp filters out all the bass (amp sends a signal to the head unit to do this) from the speakers and gives it all to the sub. Un plug the factory amp and you'll know what I mean. Because there is no bass upfront it sounds horrible and hurts my ears, the speakers need bass.

I'd take this opportunity to remove the factory amp and sub and put in a quality aftermarket unit.

is this the same in a ba. cause mine has the sub removed and god the speakers sound tinny

I had my stock sub in my BA2 pop yrs ago, so I replaced it with a pioneer "shallow mount" one which was crap and also popped after a couple of years-then I found an infinity 8" free air sub and it's better than it's ever been-so if you can find one, I recommend the infinity. I think JBL do one also but can't comment on if it's

I have a Kicker 8" Free air, 100wrms, running off the factory amp. BIG Difference. Sounds awesome, I now have matching kicker 5x7 splits and coaxial and the difference is night and day. VERY happy considering the cost of the whole system.

This the one? Straight bolt in or are mods required?

Just replace it with twin 12s in the boot

Speakers are most efficient when they are round

5x7s belong in the bin.
