Dont go removing the restriction/ Venturi or drilling a hole through it but some very smart people on here throughout the years know that if u "modify" the Venturi in tiny increments and watch what each enlarging does vs return pressure u can have your cake and eat it to in regards to correct rail pressure AND correct swirl pot recovery time/flow Think about what ford done and do not fully disregard it, make it to suit the application at hand or smart up and run a higher rail pressure to suit the tune

I set the pump up in a bucket of Turps, a pressure line that goes back to the return with a pressure gauge and a 12 volt battery. To my surprise the pot filled up great and the pressure was at 20psi (I wanted a low pressure cause I run 40psi base pressure on the injectors). The venturi really only needs to be taken out to 4mm with a Walbro 460 cause the inlet ID is 4mm and the one way valve is around 4mm. There is no point in taking it out any more.I have run the tank into the lower part of the red zone with no issues yet.I originally thought I am going to have to be carefull on the venturi but it seems with the walbro 460 taking it out to 4mm is no problem. But I can imagine once you run two pumps, that 4mm on the inlet may cause a problem.I would think that the brass fitting on the KPM pump allows a larger diameter in this area and was a better solution when you think about the hassle the OP is going thru.
