Guys,

I have a BF Mark II XR6T, as a second car which has done about 223,000kms...(totally stock).

You guys think a car with that many kms would be able to handle a tune and some injectors without having something fall apart like the transmission etc?

Am I asking for trouble by meddling with such a high km car?

Can think of a couple of modified high km cars still going strong. Both have rebuilt zf's though. Doesn't mean you will have to but it's something to keep in mind. Unless you have a manual.

A lot of variables, maintenance history, mechanical sympathy , parts already replaced., auto or manual etc

You may well need to budget for some additional supporting bits.

So not a simple yes or no answer and as always if you play be prepared to pay

Got a x cop car, 190,000 klms

Running 365rwkw and has done so for the last 14 months no issues. Only now replaced the zf as 360rwkw was the limit for the box :)

This question is a bit like "should I marry an ex prostitute"!

You know I had to post in this thread.

Smash the kilometers! I'm at 237,000km now. Tuned at 100,000km. ZF rebuilt and valve springs done at around 200,000km but both of those depend on luck and driving style.

I added a turbo to a 400 000k old toyota 2.8 diesel then rammed 18psi boost through it for a year with no dramas. So id say its ok..................

Considering taxis do a mill+ brutal kms on lpg I'd say 200k is fine

Just keep up general maintenence.

I'm at 140000kms on my tuned g6 and it runs beautifully
