Jiggles Member 4 Member For: 10y 9m 25d Posted 27/07/14 12:17 AM Share Posted 27/07/14 12:17 AM Hi I got an xr6 turbo about a month ago it was going good for the first week but had a slight miss on idle then I changed the plugs and gapped them right,change the coolant and oil aswell I took it up the road for a spin and it boosts fine in first but when I change to second and hit it it's like it's not runing on all cylinders proply like it's running out of fuel so I put a new fuel pump in change the fuel filter put new coils in put another set of plugs in and still has slight miss it's pissing me off I also got it diagnoised and it came up with these codes P0172 - System to Rich (Bank 1)P1506 - Idle Air Control (IAC) Overspeed ErrorAnyone had this problem Also if I slowly excelerate on to boost it doesn't do it But some times it's like it's not boosting need help 1 Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/88821-ba-xr6-turbo-problem-need-help/ Share on other sites More sharing options...

If so if your running it with less then 1/4 of a tank it will sound like its missing when in natural fact its simply not getting a fuel up. You should be using 98 octane premium or vortex for the turbo model as standard xr6 is different to the XR6 Turbo.
