Hey guys.

I've got a stock FG XR6 Turbo, auto, running 245/35/19s and I'm sooo tired of losing traction midway through 1st gear whenever I floor it from a standstill. My previous Tyres (Fallen FK452) could hold traction on about 50% of surfaces, while my current Tyres (Falken FK453) hold traction on exactly 0% of surfaces. Will Nitto Invos solve my problem (I.e. hold traction on 100% of sealed roads) or will I have to go all the way to NT-05s?

While we're at it, for those who have 'em, how do the stock Goodyears go, and what about Kumho KU31s (what I was planning on getting until the quick talking salesmen sold me on the crappy FK453s :crybaby:)?

I'd recommend Achilles ATR Sport 2 over KU31's. Used KU31's a lot myself and just got a set of ATR2 (make sure it's the 2) and they are superior, as well as cheaper (179 each for 245/40/18).

Invos should hold your power though I'd think? But I drive the lazier B series, though modded.

Also it could be suspension or alignment issues giving you lower traction.

Nitto's invos won't hold 1st gear. I have 275-30-19 nitto NT05's on the rear of my stock Tornado and even with warm tyres it spins 1st with wot around 4000rpm with ease. 2nd holds good.

Invos work best at the end of their life and have been known to do 1.7 60 fts at the strip in 275/18 combo so yes they can but when there new they can feel a bit sloppy first up

I had ku31's before the invo's I have now. And I think the ku31's were better on the power in a straight line

I just shift into second before that happens. Happens at about 4500rpm for me so plenty late enough to change. Every now and then it keeps spinning through second though which is enjoyable

have just fitted new 215 60 16 to my turbo converted ba xt one tonne ute (870 nm of torque )and would be happy with any thing bigger than 215 . to my surprise the Yokohama light truck tyre is not to bad ,but no mater how hard I try I just can not get the power to the ground without some wheel spin .
