Think about this............ look throught the build threads and see what is being used and what failed and what did not. Then onto the threads on the site sponsors - the workshops that do it each day. It takes about an hour and a half of time well spent to work out what does work, fits properly, made out of good materials and lasts - - and what does not.

You have an FG. Nice factory exhaust on that car. So, a simple bolt in/weld in cat change, intercooler upgrade ( choose wisely) and a good tune ( choose even more wisely) gets you pretty close to 300rwkw wthout the dump change.

How good is that product. No real idea actually..... not a lot of information supplied on the forum as far as I can tell.

sellers 4blok.............enough said....

Have never heard of 4blok - any further info?

To the OP - if after a cat there's a group buy in the pipeline for the Venom cat - I'd be looking there

I have read up on the forums. Just so many different opinions. I have allready got 1000cc injectors, and process west bolt on cooler and pipes.

I was recommended to see MORPOWA here in adelaide by old tuner who specializes in WRX's. He just recommended installing a Dump Pipe and cat aswell..

JAS98 can you explain.

Rab legend!!! Didn't know there was group buy

If you still have the little comp wheel (don't know size sorry? .45 housing?) that's standard on FG XR6T's and not the GT35/40 then dump pipe (or full exhaust) is a waste of money at that stage.

I would also be a cheap cnt and gut the standard cat for flow reasons...

If your going to upgrade the turbo then I would be buying a complete system from xforce (unless your cashed up). 3.5inch system for up to 450-500rwkw and 4inch "To Infinite and Beyond..."

I still say NO CAT for these and any system though as It's only $100 for a flanged piece of stainless pipe to go into its place and a 10min job to swap it in and out.

This is my opinion though!

They could have angled the 4blok wastegates re-entry allot better...

It's a .5 housing and I had a 4 inch dump and cat and the 31/2 cat back and the spool was incredible plus it's still good at 450rwkw.

Do it once do it properly

thanx for reply guys. I am only using stock turbo for now. Larger turbo later.

So I might just grab a cat from group buy or a ballistic cat. Aiming to crack 300 on 98
