he was correct at saying v6 ,he just forgot to add the vct 6 .so really every one else was wrong not him lol .and you guys should know better . take a look at my build ,I changed over from v8 to turbo 6 .its under 300 plus club ,327 rwkw 760 nm xt one tonne ute (was a v8 ). your conversion would be easier but still costly .I did see one a forum that someone has done a conversion by just bolting on the turbo on the standard engine and it did some good hp increases on very low boost .(it was a tuning shop in Sydney I believe ) best of luck mate ,if you would like more info give me a pm and I will give you my phone no .ps I am no mechanic only a dumb ass window installer .

Who is this wikipellor fella lol? The name seems to come up time to time.

Quattro the internet is an invaluable resource, not so much Wikipedia.... But forums like these can often contain the first hand experience and information you need. Which is gold. Google is your friend. Don't rely on forums alone though. Seek out technical documentation and try and connect the dots yourself.

But most importantly get your hands dirty(or wear latex gloves like a serial killer) and have a go. There is no better way to learn than pulling things apart and seeing how they work. In saying that ripping into a engine conversion is probably not an ideal starting point. Start with basic maintenance tasks like changing your oil and work your way up as your knowledge and confidence grows.

I was lucky that my dad always had worked valiants and falcons when I was growing up, I think I helped do my first engine swap when I was about 10. Good ol 225 slanty. But we dont all grow up with these opportunities and were not all mechanics but it doesn't mean you cant learn and shouldn't try.

I dont know why more p platers dont mod the N/A 6's. If I could have squeezed near on 200rwkw with bolt on's and a tune out of my 5l vq statesman when I was 17 I would have been stoked.
