Mrs Jeturbo Bob the Freaking Builder Donating Members 10,813 Member For: 15y 3m 2d Gender: Female Location: SA Posted 08/01/15 08:09 AM Share Posted 08/01/15 08:09 AM (edited) The 460 pumps with "larger" pot is not by any means a surge solution.Make sure you remove the plastic fitting that is on the return line in cradle or drill it out as much as possible....it has a 4-5mm hole and slows cradle filling and return line operation is hampered with a larger pump.I run a 3/8 plastic line inside my cradle E85 friendly for the return with no fitting at all...hose sits snug in the hole just pushed in there.413rwkw and 13.0 A/F tuned only to 165kmhr....GTX3582 19psi and Herrod pump finished.Had 1500cc injectors and she would not richen up for us.4spd auto stock stall.Surged at 2/3 of a tank also with my tune(350rwkw at 100kmhr)....launch with traction in first and count to 4 then surge time....cradle was draining faster than fuel could be supplied to pump.Sent it back to Herrods as it didn't flow claimed number....Herrod sold it on again new to someone :/....yup!Good for linear tunes or smaller turbos....was quiet though.IF u modified the Herrod system by changing the Venturi and "drilling a bigger hole" or popped off the fitting that is why your candle wasn't filling it up. My understanding was that most Complete cradle replacements do not need modification majority of the time, only modify if u replace pump only.
