Probably a stupid question, but is the oil feed etc on the FG suitable for the BA/BF replacement turbo? or is there anything else OP should be thinking about looking into?

What's the car worth to you? It's money being spent on peace of mind.

I'm with this guy. If it was a weekend warrior you can afford to run crappy or even break, no problem.

If it's a daily like mine, I couldn't risk it knowing a different turbo is on to what was on there stock.

It should feel laggier to get on boost, unless that's mostly the older B series intake manifold that caused that, but I'd say the spool gains people talk about would be from the turbo more than anything.

well it feels like a slight difference for it to get going pretty hard but not marginal, I am with you guys on the aspect that if I've come this far to buy a car that costed me that much and its meant to be my daily / tow car that I will get a tune at some point maybe il just ask if the tuners able to negotiate on price for touching up an existing tune,

Q. are stock ECU tunes always accessible ? by this I mean they aren't able to be locked after tunes or anything or are they?

thanks for the quick replies everyone
