So back to my other question...

Is the Nizpro Overboost valve (I'll call it the NOB...) generally used for these spikes or no one gives a hoot about having 25+psi on gear changes?

Been giving my car hell for 230,000km, 320rwkw since 100,000km and no NOB in sight

hahaha

Doesn't mean it's not a good thing though.

Its a safety device it catches that cold weather are mechanical malfunction overboost. Before I had mine on a cold night it sometimes would spike to 25psi

Mine is down on the passenger front next to the PCV catch can.

Mmmmm Black!

We used GFB's Turbo Fuse back before the NOB was available but this device was attached in 2mins via the vacuum line to the bypass valve so when it activated you knew Haha.

And from memory it would then keep the bypass valve open until vacuum was applied again...

So the NOB is basically a wastegate then but fitted to the intake side of things? Why not just buy an adjustable wastegate, surely they are cheaper?

OK, so I somehow managed to buy a NOB (from facebook of all things) from a WA bloke and got it for $200 delivered which is why I bought it...

My question is, How do you set the desired boost level on this (was there a start setting and each turn meant roughly X amount of psi), should I use an air compressor for initial rough setting or is it a jump on the dyno and adjust on the fly thing?

Were there instructions?

Fitting it will be a PITA!!!

I guess I'd get an air compressor plumbed on there somehow with no manual.
