Stock fuel pumps/pots can suffer bad airation at low fuel levels and increased fuel temps even with a walbro intank the same happens

Having clean fuel filters is an easy maintenance step to keeping flow strong following that removing the swirl pot is easy and visually u can see if there is anything blocking the mesh sock attached to the pump

After that a fuel psi gauge will need to be fitted but as mentioned regs dont usually fail so down the line will be the issue as I said suss the intank pot/pump

What kind of kms is on the car and had the power been increased from stock ?

Having issues under 1/2 tank is fair common and its usually a clear indication the fuel system/filters are struggling for the flow required

I'd be more worried about wooden rods with a stick motor

Seriously though props for putting in the hard yards and getting the pump out

lol about wooden stick

I hate iPhones always change my words lol

the work had to be done my friend

ok I have changed the fuel pump ( I have put a second hand sender in for testing purposes I gonna put a newy but can't get it till tomorrow

ok first things I've noticed

I now have 5 bar of pressure on idle with the vacuam hose plugged in

when I rev to about 3 grand and 4 grand it pretty much stays the same if not goes down a little

....funny thing is I called westpoint ford...they reckon a 6 non turbo and a 6 turbo fuel pump is the same

I need to order a pump ...what do U guys recommend ...should I just get another Delphi?

stock motor guys with just a f6 cooler

Did u get that backwards? The vacuum applied should take spring pressure away and therefore lower your pressure.

Ahh you are correct, got it the wrong way round.

well the guy at ford has no idea.... 6 na and 6 turbo is a diff fuel pump.... ive got the standard fuel pump in now.. and it feels like its running better.. so cant wait to put the proper one in..... seems like alot of people use a walbro as a aftermarket pump........ should I go a delphi or walbro... is the walbro mainly for modified engines?
