Process West Cooler Or Pwr?

Hey Rab

this is a comparison of 2 FG's we've done this year, one has a decent cooler on it, the other is the stock one I mentioned a few posts back, although the temp line flattens out it was still rising it's just the OBD2 collection data did not get to the next collection point before the run was finished.

Nice comparison - not quite equal though with the LPG keeping things a bit cooler? (spotted the red curve a mile off )

edit: temps off my 95 octane run (test #9179) might show it a bit better? same power as the stock cooler's car/run much hotter day.

LPG would have no affect on the recorded IAT temps because the gas is sprayed at the valve and the sensor is in the manifold near the throttle body

This maybe a stupid question but does lpg have a lower calorific value per litre compared to petrol resulting in lower exhaust temps leading to lower IATs?

And could you go water/meth if you don't have a great cooler?

Ah nice, thanks for the explanation

Would the cooler/intake go towards explaining how I got the same power on 95 that he got on 98 (given that we both have injectors/cat)?

edit: thanks for the other run/comparison - definitely shows the difference a decent cooler makes in IA. If I wasn't convinced with what I got I am now :D

edit2: did the other owner end up joining the group buy? Show him the comparison if he needs a push
