Yeah I wasn't a big fan of it (see what I did there). It wasn't very scientific. It was a good watch though

They didn't really include all the parameters a car intercooler is subject to.

They just demonstrated black radiates heat away better than polished. Any physics teacher could tell you that

From memory - most of my physics regarding heat and colour were regarding light sources and the effect the different colour of the objects had on the light absorbed/reflected.

Am tipping that the fact the cooler is painted (and the material it's painted with) would have more effect on any changes to the heat characteristics than the colour it was painted.

(probably wrong though - lot of water under the bridge since I did any physics)

What your forgetting rab is that it is emitting light (heat) in the infrared section of the electromagnetic spectrum.

Everything above 0°K does this. The paint covering the cooler does have a "blanket" effect but it isn't really noticed as paint is usually to thin to notice
