I'm just saying that saying "Just because a minority on a forum sook about dyno results, doesnt mean everyone else does" is absolutely pointless.

It's also an opinion and selling point of the manufacturers vehicles in question.

One of the major ones - one they use to differentiate the product from both their own lineup and that of their competitors.

As such, of course it's going to be open to discussion - especially when the figures given seem to be over or under quoted and open to interpretation and/or bias.

FFS - a footy team changes the colour/design of their jumper and the discussion lights up, and that's something that has totally zero relevance to the performance of the team

Two much loved vehicle marques are having their swan song and producing something special to close the books with.- both at the same time and both with bold statements.

If there wasn't heated discussion by those who love, those who hate and those who love/hate each of the different models then there would be something very wrong going on.

When the headline reads "The most powerful xxxxxxxx ever" or "The most powerful Australian car ever" people are going to test, talk about and argue about that.

If there wasn't a market of people who did care about such things Ford would never have reintroduced the V8, V8 touring cars wouldn't exist and, god forbid, the XR6T we all love so much would never have even been contemplated.

Sure - it can be tiresome to filter the wheat from the chaff if you're trying to take the discussions seriously at times and a lot of it does come down to personal opinion, selective reading and dick size measuring at times, but if it wasn't there at all then it's game over for the enthusiast car scene, aftermarket products and great clubs, events and forums such as this one.

Personally - without discussion like this, and before I stumbled upon it the XR6T wasn't even a blip on my radar when it came to choice of car for my next purchase. If it wasn't for people waving their dicks around yelling out "How freaking powerful/good/potent and easy to mod is my car" they would still be under the radar and I'd probably be driving around in a Skoda (true story - not taking a poke at Kimberley) and been happy with it.

Thank f*ck for dick waving dyno whores

My dad always used to have a saying:

It doesn't matter how big your dick is.. If you spend too long staring at other blokes at the piss trough one will have a bigger dick than you.. (provided you don't get beaten up by the first bloke who catches you staring)
