Hardy's at Eagle Farm have been replacing CV's with Uni's but Hardy's at Darra have got a trick CV setup on the go.

I have heard the Darra ones are quite a bit less prone to vibrations.

Someone with more knowledge might be able to explain why a CV might be better - I thought it had something to do with pinion angles being a bit too big in these things for a uni to work as intended (both strength and NVH) however I was pretty blind last time someone was talking to me about this so it could all be fabrication.

vevapower has run a 9 second pass on a retubed tailshaft from propeller shaft services in Bankstown, only around $500. I dont think many people on here are even close to running 9 second passes.

I know half a dozen people that have had their tailshafts done there, not one has failed, $1500 on a tailshaft is a waste of money IMHO

I will be getting my tailshaft retubed at propeller soon

wow so many options. Hardy Spicer at Darra quoted 2k for a full new build with the upgraded rear CV and bigger center bearing; 480 ex GST to retube my shaft.

10SECN so your shaft is retubed but stock center bearing and rear CV? I am only looking to end up around 600rwhp and will bolt on some sticky tyres once or twice to run that 10 second / 130mph pass - don't want to overkill as you said before but then again don't want to do it twice because it broke
