Peter, well done, one thing to get the grunt, another to keep it green, I imagine. I have mates with LS1's with performance increases (not quite like this !!) that were unable to find Engineers to certify their mods due to rules regarding the drivetrain not being up to the job, I guess from the other posts that people are investigating different boxs etc because of a percieved problem. How do the engineers get around these rules ? Again, well done, not trying to put a damper on it all, just a question.

Peter, what about the engineers report and durability issues ?

I would have to investigate this issue further as I have never struck this problem or even heard of it as being an issue.

I assume it would depend on the individual engineer as to his view on safety issues, as after all this would be his main concern.

There has to be a point where the engineer would have some concern as to drive train safety, as a failed uni joint or broken tail shaft can cause serious damage to the car and occupants.

Great work aps, definitely give you piece of mind knowing your road legal :banghead:

Thanks for support,

We are extremely pleased as we could not release the PHASE III product In NSW without being able to prove emission compliance to the EPA. :kissmy:

Only last week I spoke to an owner of a LSI Expensive Daewoo in Sydney who was forcrd to remove the supercharger system from the his car as he could not prove emmision compliance to the EPA.

The Sydney area is now the most difficult area within Australia to modify a car, So be careful guys dont draw attention to the car and end up in the Poo. :trauma:

This is an example of what engineers look for when providing a engineers report, though most modern cars do not require any brake upgrade for an engineers report.

The final power output is on the APS web site and a manual 5 speed car produces approx 330Kw at the treads on the APS dyno dynamics dyno at 13 PSI of turbo pressure.

Hmmmmmmm....surely a brake upgrade to at least Premiums would be neccessary for nearly double the stock power? Especially when you take the shuddering in to account.

Depends on how you drive the car, if you do track days I would recommend monster BREMBOS and brake rotors, though most people only give the car a quick squirt and then back off the gas.

If you can afford it a brake upgrade would be worthwhile a set of AP or BREMBO brakes would be the go. :kissmy::kissmy: :banghead:

Congratulations Peter

When do you expect to be marketing this through your distributors?

Also, do you supply copies of the ADR approval to people who purchase the upgrades? Can I get one?

The stage II is awesome, just gets better every day!

Thanks Gareth, Its really pleasing for APS to pass ADR 79/00 emmision test.

We expect to start shipping phase III product to dealers around mid march if all goes to plan.

We will supply a copy of the emmision report to a registered engineer doing the report or directly to the EPA head office at our customers request after we verify that the car in question has only a genuine APS system.

Great to hear that your pleased with the APS phase II system, I hope you have many years of enjoyment with your xr6t.

Peter does the phase III come with the pod filter and battery swap or is that in the next phase because the photo in the speed magazine link on your web site only has the original air box and larger intercooler but it doent have the custom peice that conects onto the throtal body?

The big APS air cleaner and battery relocation parts are standard in the PHASE III system, its just that our web creator has not yet updated all of the web pages, will get on to this later this week.
