Mr Scheme Member 9 Member For: 14y 2m 2d Posted 26/08/14 11:03 AM Author Share Posted 26/08/14 11:03 AM Well Ive ruled out the pulleys on mine being an issue. Ive changed the oil from the 5w-40 castrol edge that was being put into it and went to 10w-40 castrol edge and will see if that helps any but my first 2 days of driving with the new oil the sounds are the same. Noise comes and goes when it feels like it.I feel nothing wrong with the car...just has that noise. My noise goes away with revs though.Im happy though that you guys are getting told there was no problem. But if it keeps up ill put it in to be checked and maybe do the valve springs too like you did GeGe6 Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/88619-fg-xr6t-timing-chain-noise/page/3/#findComment-1495381 Share on other sites
