that's what I said to them that I want it striped back to raw aluminium ,it was there problem due to the first time they done a sh*t job and now again .just got a price just to strip it back for $400

we get stuff done there all the time (I am in glass and aluminium ) so they know that I want a good job . I did not even get a price to get it done ,all I said I want it to be nice . the first time I gave them the aluminium tray I striped it all back with a stainless steel wire brush on a drill 6 hours of work . I said that I want it dipped into the special solution to prep it before they coat it .but they did not . and now they did not strip it back to raw aluminium .

have taken it back this morning ,and he agreed it was not done very well .he him self will do it now .they are going to chemically remove the paint . and re do most of the parts again .might get it back next weekend .

I still am waiting for parts to be re done . the machine has broken down apparently . my holidays are over so now I have to do it all again at nights and the car has to stay out side for a while .

can anyone see the defects ? I know that they are not very good photos . or am I just complaining about nothing ?the guy that done the work was going to punch me in the head because I am to fussy

Your right to be angry, that's a crap job.

I did a bit of powder coating years ago, and it really is down to prep. As the old saying goes, "failing to prepare is preparing to fail"

Dont be bullied by him , keep your cool and explain why your not satisfied with the workmanship.

You come across these sorts of blokes every now and them. They are usually a bit thick and just don't understand even if you held a gun to their head. Just take it to someone else and sue him if you have the time.

the bad thing is my boss uses him all the time to do his work ,usually its not to bad . but then its only aluminium angle and security frames .nothing this big . he just lost it at me on Friday night when he phoned me and threatened to come around to my place ,he said this job cost him money .my reply was that's not my problem I just want it fixed or he has to pay half of a new tray .now this has been going on for the last 6 weeks ,and now the ute is running but I can not drive it because I have no tray on .his reply was I will only work on it when he has finished all jobs that pay money (its been 6 weeks now )I want to drive my ute after working on it for 5 month and 3 weeks changing over from v8 to turbo 6 .
