just got my aluminium tray parts back ,after I got them powdercoated the second time in 18 month .the first time it looked like it had leopards spots and the clear coat started to crack .so I decided to get it redone .(pulled it all apart again ).now that I got it back it looks like that it has more orange peel than an orange .it also still has leopards spots but now it also has like large drip marks on some of the parts . I have payed good money to get it done ($600) why is it that what ever I get done ,I just feel I have been ripped of again . I just feel like just buying a new aluminium tray and fitting that to the ute .I am just so prised of that no one gives a sh*t about doing a good job ,not a perfect job but just a good job .

I'm hearing ya Gunna. I changed trades because I was always fixing other people's 'unfinished' work.

There's only one way to do things. The right way!

I'm constantly surprised by tradesmen doing a bad job. And still charging full rate.

I seem to try and do everything these days, just to avoid disappointment.

Hope the tray works out you Mate

People and buisnes dont give a sh*t. I had a contractor prep, box and pour some concrete around my pool area while we were away. When we come back ,it was the worse job I had ever seen and he also layed $4000 of my 600x600 granite tiles on top of it. He stuffed that as well. He whole lot was out of level and out of square with my pool that its a right off of my tiles. When I told this guy that I wont be paying for it and that he had to replace my tiles, he then told me that he would kill me and slit my throat.

Well I never paid him and im still alive. Gold Coast tradesman are crooks.

Who did the coating for you. I've had to get things blasted with garnet in the past before re coating to get the best results but in saying that they should have advised you on that. No one seems to take pride in the work anymore no matter how big or small.

This is not true, there are still many business that take pride in what they do, it's just that there's a lot that quote cheap to get a job and then have to cut corners although ther are still some that know how to charge and still do things wrong, normally it's business that don't rely on repeat work that are the worse culprits

Thanks tobylee

I realise it was probably just a generalisation bandblightfoot, but just felt the need to correct it, there are plenty of companies that do the right thing and there are companies that intend to do the right thing but have staff that do not care, it's sad but it's true
