Add decent trans cooler radiator and electric water pump to keep sufficient coolant up to the cooler.

Air to Air cooler is going to need to be MASSIF and will need Equally MASSIF fans to keep the heat down.

recently did the cooler and service myself.

bought the pwr cooler for 750 off ebay

got the lifeguard6 for $30 a litre

also sourced the steel pan kit through same guy. ended up paying 320 for the kit and bought 7L of oil.

took 2 hours for cooler and an hour for trans filter and pan swap including oil.

this was all about 3 weeks ago. havent had any temp problems with trans yet

Using the torque app atm. Sits around the 85° mark.

Tempted to install a trans temp gauge when I swap out the f6 ones so I can have a constant feed on it

Mainlube 160 (I've used most of them) is by far from what we have seen and felt been the best Trans oil we've used to date.

Coupled of course with decent sized cooler and rare Earth Magnets on the pan we get little to basically zero metal in oil.

I've only ever had one Trans Temp warning and that was on the 6th lap of SME ( session was only 7 laps anyways and I still did another lap with the alert) but was up it deluxe and had the 500 rwkw tune in all day.

I remember the earlier days when people used to say "you know you have to wear special anti static gloves to work on ZF's".

And if you don't use Lifeguard Oil in your ZF your rear tail ligthts won't work and that will cause your box to flare in 3rd to 4th!
