That'll be the day everyone starts getting rolled

I had mine on the dyno at Torque Performance in Auckland, did 251rwkw standard. Torque tell me they've done plenty, so Robin (I think) could be worth a chat? I'm hoping to do something with the PW group buy, then have to figure out how to get it here, from memory shipping to Qld was $25, to NZ $240. They tuned mine both times (as mentioned above, get all the bits at once to save $$$ ).Where abouts are you NZBen? A mate of mine is getting his FG F6 tuned at Auckland performance tuning tomorrow, will see how they go too.As for cats, I was told 2008 onwards are required to have them, but a xforce system with cat will cause bugger all restriction imho, and I was never questioned about it at warrant time when I didnt have one at all. For our Aussie listeners, NZ requires all cars to present for a mechanical inspection once a year ( was 6 monthly untill recently) where it is inspected for roadworthyness. This is our 'warrant of fitness' or WOF. Shiney intake, big cooler, piping , BOV, zorst, never even be questioned about any of it- legal as! They dont seem that approachable but seem to kno what they r doing. If Robin only got 250 from a stock machine I might give him a miss. Still undecided on where to go. Might cut front out of airbox this weekend. Seeing if Ratter is still doing group buy thing. I have business a bit in Melb so could pick stuff up from there on a trip. Where is a good place to buy genuine ID1000s? The only thing im not likin about them is it looks like they need adaptor plugs? Never a fan of those. I have been thinkin about grabbing a turbo at the same time, maybe one from a bf or f6? How much lag do they have compared?

The lag difference is noticeable however not extreme. Probably no more than 300rpm. And will hold 20psi to red line Great turbo if on a budget.Any reputiable tuner usually sell them

Much more to be had with basic mods.My friends FG F6 ( FG uses the same bigger turbo as the BF I believe) was tuned last week by APT. Got 370 rwkw with x force zorst and id squirters maxed out before settling on 317rwkw, 700nm torque. Its a manual and he wants to avoid replacing the clutch straight away I think. Robin was happy to tune the car to what you wanted.

He seems like a good guy who appears to know what he's talking about, a lot nicer to deal with than eastern autos. He says ill likely get 310-315 with some ID1000s a fuel pump, cat mod, and a piping kit. I kinda would like to see inlet temps drop a bit. Considering ratters group buy but maybe if I can find an old F6 cooler somewhere instead?
