I gave the G6 a wash the other day and noticed that the rear tyres are now down to (well --- past) the wear marks so I got a couple of cheapies fitted.

I went with the Nexen N'fura SU1 in the same size - 275x35x18. They have a tread wear rating of 300, speed rating ' W ' and have a higher load rating than the Toyo's so I've reset the trip thingy (B) to keep track of the k's I get out of them.

The Toyo's only lasted 7614 km and at something like 400 bills 'each', if I get that out of these Nexen things that were 260 each, I'm winning.

A bit of rain around atm so I have no idea if these will be any good going down A.I.R in a cupla weeks (if it's open) so we'll have to wait and see

Has anyone else used these?

I find the Achilles tyres pretty good value for money Don, but quite a few Nexens running around too.

I am like you, cant justify the cost of Bridgestone etc for the driving we do.

I wish this rain would go away. :rant2:

Yeah the rain has been -- well -- wet - in the last few days.

Can't get Achilles in my size for the rear Johno

If I went 45 profile on the front and 40 on the rear, then I could go the Achillies all round without throwing the ABS out.

Might think about that when the fronts need changing as a 40 on the rear will only be 7mm aboue max diameter allowed in SA

Tyre side of things are excellent, nice dry grip cant say much about the wet yet had very little to none. Check it out Don worth getting.

I'll go to them as well when I get tired of the no grip Chinese rubbers.

They are good fun though
