So even after looking over everything I can't work out why my car doesn't like being started when warm, and hates idling when I'n gear when warm. Thought it was the TB, changed that still no good.

Haven't checked the spark plugs yet, but I can't see why it would do that. If it helps the AFR is super lean when it carries on like this, like off the ricter lean at idle, then will sort itself out after a quick squirt.

Any ideas where to look? Also, feels like it's super sluggish making boost and feels like all of a sudden it works itself out and feels much stronger. Still not making the boost it's been commanded for, not even close. (Won't get over 9ish, should be closer to 15-16)

Fuel pump not liking getting hot or blocked fuel filter or something? I'm just taking shots in the dark though.

Could be your plugs mate in regards to the warm starts, my 20 year old victa 2 stroke mower starts first go when cold, will not start hot, I just have a spare plug in my pocket. Change it and it starts first pull. A colder plug may help.

In saying that I do use the correct plug so there is probably more to it than that.

Obviously victa 2 strokes and barras are very similar....lol

Yeh really not sure Steve, it kicks fine when cold every time, when warm you need to crank it for like 3-4 seconds instead of 2-3 kicks like when cold, or do 2-3 kicks turn off back on and itll kick fine? Ill check fuel filter, could it be tune related? like the tune hasnt been set up for warm cranking?

haha very similar. Nah ill check when I get home, its coming off the road AGAIN anyway to do the flapper mod and a couple other things, Ill check the spark plugs then. What should I be running? itll have anywhere from 12-18psi through it. 0.6 gap?

0.6 - 0.7 seems to be the go, ive heard of 0.5 or even less which seems unnecessary. The larger the gap you can run without blow out the better.

And the std ford plugs are the go. I use ngk ifr6t11 without issue and they arent all that expensive but probably a waste of money really.

Basic's

Air and Fuel supply (can you check fuel pressure)

Air leaks that would allow unmetered air into the engine

Battey condition/Voltage when hot

02 sensor condition

Or skip the guessing games and pull the codes and work from there.

It's fine in any part of the rev range/load/throttle other than sitting at idle and starting. Especially when in gear. Doesn't wana hold idle revs just conks out. And it only happens intermittently, but the warm starting issue is constant
