Must have spent all his money on brembos and didn't have the money for brake fluid so used water. Myself and everyone else I know using brembos think they are awesome. Plenty of track cars using them.

Be more specific about what your mate disliked about the Brembos he's experienced. We fail to see how they are crap brakes. A great many of us find them very, very good.

Maybe he forgot to put the brake pads in.
