My harmonic balancer is cactus so I figured I may aswell get it replaced when doing the valve springs in a couple of weeks.

Is it worth upgrading to an atomic or bowerbond balancer? I think I read a while ago that I'd need to get the oil pump/pump gears done if going with a performance balancer....or should I just go with an OEM replacement?

Some tuners are big on changing them even at moderate power - 400rwkw. I've considered the powerbond kit mainly for the speed reduction on ancillaries.

The tuners I have spoken to think the OEM is best. Aftermarket balancers have been known to introduce harmonics and vibration that can be felt through the car

My tuner fitted an atomic one at 330rwkw and suggests it to pretty much all clients. Too many have failed in his opinion yet there are plenty running OEM with no dramas.
