Lol I won't be going over 5000kms on my new built motor for an oil change but it's lucky to do 5000kms in a year. In saying that my BA xr6 ute I change the oil every 10-15,000kms and it has 315,000kms and going strong as ever.

The frequent oil changes didn't save my first cams but my engine was pristine inside otherwise. Still like seeing golden clean stuff on the dipstick. Cheap insurance in my book.

I think you went a bit potato then bloke I was just asking if you had oil sample tests done before.

I'm not understanding the 5k oil change and then being cheaper in life with other things :/....you mean like toilet paper or brand of butter?

Do you adhere to use by dates or just go by knowledge?

Yeh that's my mood swings!

Yes I was pretty much saying that everybody puts a priority on what they think is important.

Example- My brother...happy to p!ss money up the wall and wake up with a hangover but won't pay cheap money for his 3yr old son to have a nebuliser that he needs! Or when going on a 2wk holiday won't pay the $10 for extra baggage when there are three of them so has carry on and lives in the same 3 pairs of clothes while on that "holiday"...And he earns 100k a year as does his wife! Get my point?
