I have been doing 3000 changes with a flush each time(even though not a fan) since I noticed(1 so far). Will pop the cover again down the track see how its going and if my cam lobes are even more fkd.

What sort of diesel oil, just something of a similar weight to what I use now?

Does the engine flush stuff work as I have a couple of bottles or is the Diesel oil better to give it a clean?

Motors are the 08 Ford turbo 6cyl and Mazda 4cyl 2.5lt n/a 2008 also...

do you mix the diesel oil in with the current oil, or do you remove the old oil from the car and put in only the diesel oil.

I need to do this for my wife's Ford focus as a flush was recommended at the last service.

So just a good time to read this thread...

opened my 2010 xr50t to do valve springs and found slightly chipped chain guides a bronze color inside and worn cams and rockers to top it all off.. not even 80***km on the clock and serviced by ford untill 60***km.
