It's the first time I have heard about camshaft wear, perhaps it's now becoming more prevelant as cars are getting more KM on them.

That cam looks horrible, what should we do?

My o9 has 190,000kms and have as good as new camshafts , always semi syn but asif that could be the cause .....

Just sayn

It really does seem to be the late BF2/fg duo phased shafts at risk

Has anyone tried inspecting the cams with a usb drain/snake camera instead of removing the rocker cover?

I ask as I don't have the spine to do these jobs anymore (and I hate paying cnts) so was thinking of throwing the camera in there for a quick look!
