His reply was 'no there isn't' It's as simple as this... Mineral and semi syn have more contaminants in them. The oil isn't as pure. I mentioned about guys with the cams wearing. He said a full syn cannot creat more wear than a semi for instance. I know the owners manual recommends it, but the oil change intervals are also listed at 15,000km or yearly if I'm not mistaken. Got to be kidding if anybody thinks that is a good idea. They simply do this to keep the 'servicing costs' down. My personal opinion is this is why they reccomend that oil as well.
