Yes that is quite gay in a fwd... apparently the xr5s used to lift off over steer really easy? Mate reckoned he did it but I doubt he got a proper drift out of it coz he's a pussy...

On topic... good luck with the gearbox. What's wrong with this chunt who's taken a year to build it? That's ridiculous

lol yeah the ST also lift off oversteers quite easily if you want it to but wouldnt say its a bad charecteristic. Need to stab the throttle and lift carrying a fair bit of speed to get a sort of drift out of it, even then obviously you cant hold it. Where it is very usefull is making the car rotate and turn in more if you need it to. I use this to great effect when overtaking on the outside lane on round abouts....can accelerate all the way to mid corner lift momentarily, rotate a bit and punch it again. Its a totally different driving style to big powerfull cars. You really can get away with alot, like braking hard and turning in aggressively as you lift off the brake, g6 pretty much always need to trail brake it a bit, just need to be gentle with a big powerfull car with average suspension, sudden weight transfers will see you in the trees before you know what happens. ST is like any little hot hatch, evo, wrx whatever. Need to push them very hard before actual talent is required.

Went to race car engineering today to have a look at what they have .nice store that's for sure ,makes you want to own a older style v8 from the 70 . Can highly recommend it as they have tonnes of stuff .they may not be the cheapest but its there if you want it .d376846aa4fef53ceb009923fa77f0ee.jpg6f9044271a867fa3123dabd037d886f4.jpgab1c5aa47ca4ca900516a5a5fbda4e9a.jpg$340 each for 255 wide and will fit my 16 inch rims that are 7 inch wide .they are the same rolling diameter than my standard tyres. After that I went to autobarn at slacks creek and bought a 38 mm plumb back blow off valve .they sell them for 359 dollars but they gave me a discount when I said Golebys sell them for 306 dollars plus delivery of 15 dollars .got that one in the end for 330 dollars , which I was happy with. 39774820e7c38a8e5940ec4fe419ec44.jpgda9d7411a92a53b74f64bd3649741bc5.jpg68ed0f8dbc818d94958e3ca084e23ee1.jpg6392e7c583dc3bd38082f55747acd879.jpg4d7c6955f3573d6d960335c02a824e34.jpghad a look at the regulator I bought which I must have miss read the add as I thought it was with hardware to suit my prosses west serge tank .it only came with a an 6 fitting lol ,and no bracket to hold it in place . $ 200 I thought was not bad for only 2 hrs of use ,well I hope that is all it had . 85491ea2b0e847fb7f971e76a3d1fa73.jpgb44b023ff5e3c6287136801a6e7d308b.jpgthat block off bung might be hard to get out if I am unlucky 110aca9996fa010bb92a7ce484dbc15a.jpga6d4ca81b7bfa4feccdca2681596e7b9.jpgc85ac24805d1a385a2141607cd896cd3.jpg2d9d32bb0254bd8a26b946a700f9d6fa.jpgI bought it of jim who does all the xr6turbo development turbos like the one I am running (stage 4 ) so I do not think he would sell anything that was not as it is advertised
