Still waiting for the erles oil line 3 weeks just about .would be in if that was here

Opend up the new sparkplugs that tbre supplied and they are these ? Thought they run the better plugs with the thin electrode .still not happy that there was no engine asembely lube on the camshafts or rocker gear. I never got one single reply from anyone about that what they thought of it .1fc0936b8a7b4258fe8f91ac16544f8f.jpgdfeae0b345905b0dafddbd2f1042b1c6.jpg331e09026a74a83282250b3773ec7ee1.jpgd0e74733c6b111d2e451b781f401fb2d.jpg

heaps of guys use those plugs, and engine builders often spin the engine up with the sump off using an external power source to check oil pressure, compression, and just make sure oil is getting everywhere it should. This is done on the veryron engine during assembly for example. I find it very hard to belive tbre wouldnt use assembly lube...

There is none on the cam shafts or rockers .none at all only come run in oil that's all

He was unable to tell me the compression ratio as I asked him .which pissed me off any way

Only oil no none of the engine asembely lube what so ever .I would even go to the extend to get someone independent to pull it apart and inspect it if anyone doubt it as I will honour my name no mater what . Not baging tbre but if there was suposed to be asembely lube there than he never done it

How much assembly lube are you expecting to see on a roller valve trains? , by the time the last adjusters are up to pressure and clearance has been taken up the entire top end will be bathed in oil.

Gotta be honest, it seems like each time you pay for a service you go looking for faults.

which is a shame, because given it is a Ford, it will show up the faults for free

If he would have got the rocker cover powdercoated as asked and the 8 na fittings changed to 10 na I would have never pulled the rocker cover off .so he never did what I asked for in the end .and that is what f*cks me of as I pay my bills .I do not look for them but keep finding them .I knew this would start a war again ,no one does what I ask for .is that so hard to do for people to follow requests .to me it showes they do not care

Well getting back to how much asembely lube should be there .I belive the whole lot as if you assemble the bottom end first and then fit the head and cams there is no reason to turn the engine over .well tell me I am wrong ? Would like to hear from some one that knows

We used Moreys as assembly lube when we assembled my engine. We put it on on all components (Except for pistons and rings).  all the rockers and lifters were soaked in oil for 24 hrs  I would rather this, than have dry bearings and components running dry, when cranking for oil pressure, as it sometimes  takes a bit to get oil pressure. We grew concerned when cranking my engine, as my gauge wasn't showing pressure. We ended up hooking the turbo oil feed to the vacuum on another car, to draw it through.

Personally, I don't blame you. I believe that it is best practice to lube everything on a new engine.

FYI, ensure that you remove all plugs when cranking for oil pressure...
