Ok so I just went and had a gander at my abs module and.

Undo the circled bolt and lines and it looks like it will come out attached to that bracket. If a ba has that bracket.

The red circle should match your pcm, for a ba it will be 3R23 the blue circle indicates its an 8.0 without hill decent control, some territorys will have a number ending in BA indicating decent control. Not sure of the 5.3's no as I dont have one to look at and cant find a detailed enough pic on the interweb.

The circled number indicates its an FG pcm. Yours will be 3R23

Edit: I should add, if the valve block and pump are damaged in the wreck but the module is ok it may be possible to swap just the module. I say may because I have no idea whether the diff between 5.3 and 8.0 is purely electronic or if the pump and block are infact different.

have phoned redcliffe dyno and the can not help me ,have to go to ford to get it sorted .still do not know if I should just get ford to get rid of the traction control or not ,and just leaf the module that I have .or change everything over from the wreck ,just do not like the extra brake line (ute to sedan ).this is scaring me a bit at the moment as Lee said that they do not know how to bleed the brakes on the abs sensor .what advise have you guys out there ,please I need help lol lol

I'll have a look through

Where'd you get your wheel from?

I got it of the guy that rebuild the turbo for me .$190 extra for the wheel .but apparently it gives more boost down in mid to high revs .I will never know if it made any difference due to that I have never driven the car before .he calls him self( rose rage turbos ) he is a local guy in my area ,do not know how good he is but a mate of mine got his turbo done by him and had no problems with it at all .his name is nigel rose (www.roseng.com.au ) he is only young but thought I will give him a go .my plans were just to get the ute going and then turned into a full rebuild ,if I would have known that I would have bought a mta turbo instead (extra $1000)

thanks barnz ,he is correct about the module .he just asked me to disconnect the module from the wire ring harness and use my scan tool to see if the same cods come up .and they are the same ,so I have to change modules and the abs pump (traction control one )and add a brake line to it maybe .he is still thinking about what I will have to do .I will leaf it up to him what I could do .this forum does help a lot when someone is in need ,I am thankful that I joint this forum .

going to go to a brake specialist next door to where I work ,he may know what to do (they only sell parts )

Was actually a bit underwhelmed the U1900 comms code came back, not sure if that's because it was unplugged or you have a separate issue. So you definitely cleared dtc's first? If you could just sit the module from the wreck in the bay and plug it in it may help determine whether there is a separate issue.

Well in not an expert on this stuff but pretty sure having a module unplugged will do that lol. Was just more interested to see if it helped with your unresponsive ac, coz wierd stuff is always possible. Once you get that other module in and you still get that code I guess you will have to double check everything, maybe starting with the HIM. What is working? Radio and stuff?

Ok so your ac is working aside from not being gassed? Limp mode will certainly be from a lack of vss signal/abs module. VSS is critical to a few systems.
