No they are the corect way .technico have changed the way they get fitted now .I got mine rebuild by him for $50 including delivery .he also gave me a heat shield for the turbo side. thanks for your concern .my only worry with them is that apparently they couse bolts coming loose due to the non dampening efect ? Why no fan?? that's how geoff had his fitted .bought his set up of him .no the sandwich plate has no thermostat. I thought the cooler alone would be ok for the engine oil cooler as it gets air traveling onto it at any track events . The cooler used to be set up with a fan but I am using it th cool my automatic transmission .please explain the thermostat at the sandwich plate. .is that so the oil reaches corect temperature before it by passes through the cooler.never seen one before Also noticed that its a pull only fan and geoff had the polarity the oposit way so the fan would run the other way .thought that would not be good for the fan so I changed it on my automatic transmission cooler the other way It does say black is positive on the fan but that's not how he set it up I am running a oil temp guage to keap an eye on the temp had a hard time to remove the allan keyed grub screw as it was made out of aluminium see geoffs had a spacer ,can make out if looking closly. I had no idea that I needed it before I installed it I got that hole set up for $600 so deffenetly worth it as geoff paid $1300 for it he said to me with all the fittings and fan etc Have found some on e bay .no idea that they existed lolthis next one is a hell of a lot cheaper .will this one be ok as the other one is close to 400 dollars and are the fittings an 10 suitable ? Ok so I will need the 1/2 npt to suit is that corect ?I can see how they work now ,oil only gets restricted to 10 % flow Would I be better of also getting one for the automatic gearbox .thought that they run at 70 Fahrenheit and not 80

But it doesn't have ports for temp gauge. You need to keep the engine oil above 80c

Im surprised you went to the effort of making the shroud/scoop and angling it into the airflow. Your not doing things by halfs.. have you done one for each side?

I will for safety reasons put some mesh on it also hides it a bit.take a look at the photo the bottom sticks out a good 70 to 75 mm the angle of the cooler is about 22 degree or 68 degree which ever you understand also protecting if the tyre picks up a rock from the other side .still not finnished but getting there On 20/03/2016 at 1:30 PM, barnz said: I think the mesh is over the top, its well protected without it, mesh would maybe stop a bird lol..The way it is nothing coming off the road will hit it. I know I am fussy as but so I am at work . mad max is on foxtell .stoped work to watch it I might run this waterless coolant in my engine ,anyone using it .its like $500 for a full fill up On 20/03/2016 at 1:30 PM, barnz said: I think the mesh is over the top, its well protected without it, mesh would maybe stop a bird lol..The way it is nothing coming off the road will hit it.
