8490bc22bb9fce119cff74fd5184638e.jpgto get the brushes to stay inside so you can push the bearing back in and the armature, you have to push a small drill bit or simular into the back cover and then as you push it in you also have to push the brushes down with a small hook like tool .made it out of a pop rivet .after that you can push it back togethercc7688119303c67992128307602b2801.jpg8bf7134f32f2f00cbab65b7c933f8486.jpg

Looking good mate those coated parts looks great and that turbo certainly looks the biz. Exhaust manifold does have a gasket but 3mm seems like alot. The bolts come loose like every 10 thousand so maybe they were never tightened, did mine just the other day and the forwad most 4 bolts were finger tight so maybe this can cause the warping when heat cycled?

Definitely cant hurt to get it machined. Is the head true though?

Also im interested in hearing more about thay inlet manifold spacer, I would think you have picked up runner length going the fg manifold anyway so who suggested even more and why? Is it to improve low end response as a match up with that turbo? What stall does the btr have?

Yes it looks like the forward facing two are the worst on the manifold .it does not even close the gap if I only have the bolts up front tighten .the mace spacer is so heat from the engine does not enter the intake manifold ,acts like a insulator .got it of a guy seling it on one of the forums as he sold the car ,I got it delivered to me for 55 dollars normaly they are about $150 delivered .the btr is running a 2900 stall with no torque converter lock as it is somthing that fails fast in these boxes 957ad1ce823f854f4507b39d862278a6.jpgthe heat shield came up great .they were all rusty and oil stains

FG manifold bow is super common and I haven't seen a straight one yet

They do flex on bolt up and have proven to not be an issue for many kms after bolt up

Start the bolting process 1&6 then 2&5 then 3&4 and ull be peachy mate
