I must have been crazy .rapid defiantly needs to be dealt with many parts, no matter which brand, need to be encouraged to fitwell if that is so then they are not very good at there trade (nether are architects )

It's not as interesting or as fun is it.Where's your build thread with lots of pics and chit by the way?

It's not as interesting or as fun is it.Where's your build thread with lots of pics and chit by the way?I would have just sold the ute but I could not afford to .it all started out when I a add in the paper said 2004 xt ba v8 falcon ute with 47000 klm on the clock .thought I will buy this and fit a under bonnet blower .got a racq inspection done ,all good they said .so I paid $12,500 for it of pacific ford at caloundra ,so I thought .later on when I wanted to sell it found out they conned my girl friend into all sorts of insurances ,that they said to me are all included (I had to work that day so she had to pick it up )in the end they charged us $17,500 for the car loan ,which I found out about 3 month later .got the ute home changed all the fluids and found that the engine oil that was in the car was as thick as honey(now the engine had a lot of nocks with the new oil ) ,the diff oil was like grease .the auto slipped in top gear and the stall converter lock did not operate correctly .when I went around corners there was huge amount of blue smoke coming out of the exhaust so I took the throttle body of ,and found that it was full of oil in the intake manifold .tock some pictures and showed ford ,then they asked me who done all this work .I then said that I did all this work ,there reply was you have voided all insurances on the ute by doing this work to it .they said the exact words to my face (f*ck of and do not come back )that was the manager there. after washing the car a few times the red paint started to go white ,no mater what I did it just was no good .so I got a paint job (xr8 bonnet ) $5000 later ,got the aluminium tray powdercoated ,made up new tail light brackets .after that I found that the ball joints had about 5-6 mm of movement .so then I fitted all new springs ,shocks ,bushes, camber caster kits and new rear leaf springs . fitted some performance items .then a mate of mine in a standard xr6 na beat me by about 2 car length .so then I got the diff rebuild with 3.9 danna gears and a true track (the diff shop ended up only fitting 3.7 gears )I was very pissed of but they said it would suit me better ,no phone call no nothing .it cost over $3000 so I expect it to be what I asked for .and of course the diff is noisy now .I never went back to them again . after that I went to the drags where it ran a 15.011 at willowbank .after that I thought a turbo would be nice .found a wreck in the paper ,had a look and bought it (had lots of work done to it ,330 rwkw and 760 nm .but it has not been a good idea again .the turbo was stuffed ,the auto was stuffed .this has just been a nightmare .all up this ute has cost me about $28000-$30000 and its still a ba sh*t box I ended up buying a longer joiner ,and it just reaches by about 20mm .so it most likely will work now ,hope the front bar still fits on ok . a exhaust shop would be able to flange the pipe again ? still have not tried it with the hose clamps (they are massive in size )most of my weekends all I am doing is ,finding parts that work or modifying the parts I bought .its just a battle .I have never done this sort of work on a car ,only like simple stuff oil changes and fitting stereos and polishing the paint and of course tyre shinning .but this is just a bit out of my way that's for sure
