...but I don't think I would get any change out of 5 grand. Not cheap hey.

sweet jeebus ... that's a bit steep lol but if it was genuine and new parts that wouldn't surprise me...I laughed when I saw a guy selling a GT Rspec 'bodykit' for $3500 (second hand) and he rekons Ford (or FPV) charge $7500 for it! Ridiculousness....I should have jumped on the second hand genuine GT front and rear bars that were for sale on gumtree couple weeks back for $1200ono...but deals come up all the time anyways

In terms of front end conversions, I think I've seen a few on the forums, but I have not looked very hard so I would imagine there are quite a few people who have done it (but I would guess most stick to the aftermarket jobbies from ebay?). I think a few GS models do it, and XR6T...I will be looking in to it one day (whenever I finally sort out the go fast mods lol), along with the rear bar and side skirts for my sedan

Yeah it's mega expensive, the front bar alone is $2700 new but you'd have to be a spazz to pay that much. I've seen pretty much every FPV listed part sold on eBay in the last year haha and there's been a few good bargains and some retards wanting a mint for damaged goods, as with everything you just have to know your product hey!

Thread mine alert. :mole:

Very nice ute you have there!

I'm a Sparky by trade, and hope to fit out an XR6 ute as a work vehicle, similar to this too.

What brand of canopy is that? Is it a steel/alumimium one?

Nice ute, quick question about the front end. What parts did you have to buy, eg front bar, headlights, bonnet?? I have 2011 xr6t, would love to do front swap.

What flash tune did you use for engine?

Yeah just sold it, realised it was more than I needed for work so moved it on. Ah off the top of my head the parts needed are - headlights, front bar, sill extension, top grill, grill surround, grill mounting bracket, bottom grill (maybe) side meshes for down the bottom, F6 badge, and F6 badge surround. Took me a good 18 months to find some parts like the sill extension, was kind of fun though for a while!

Retail price for a BF FPV front bar is $3702.54 plus GST (ie $4072.79). Part number is BAFT17C831A.

Just for a piece of plastic... bloody expensive!

That's for a BF. Not sure what the FG RRP is.
