I've driven a FG XR6T and Supercharged FG 5.0L.

The VF GTS is faster in stock form than the Falcon 5.0L GT/GS, after a tune the falcon is about as fast as the VF GTS, the VF GTS on the other hand doesn't gain much power after a tune.

Compared to the Turbo FG, the FG 5.0L SC has more instant power in lower speeds, once upto speed they are both about as fast as each other roll on and at part throttle cruising around the turbo is more efficient in it's power delivery in the mid range, more effortless.

The 5.0L is a powerful car and has a lot of hidden power the only problem is it can't get it cannot put that power down to the ground easily.

Stock 0-60 for an R spec 4.5...

Id say it gets its power down alright.

The VF GTS is a nice car and a lot of work has gone into the driveline, brakes and interior/exterior. But what can't be ignored is the fact they are dynoing around the 310-320rwkw mark in standard form. I would be terribly disappointed to spend near on $100k for a car and find it's making the same if not a little less than its much lower priced competitor. Personally I don't think the LSA engine comes anywhere near the ability of the Miami/Coyote engine available from Ford. I've yet to see a tune only VF GTS make 400 plus rwkw.

Benny.

If was to choose between the 2 I would buy the GTS and throw a few bucks getting it tickled up

The car has so many extra features over the FPV.

Its not always about the most power. How often do you drive around with foot flat to the floor @ 6 grand

And about the whole cam thing,

I've been in a few VEs with cams and they are absolute cops to drive and aren't that much quicker

My mate has a VE uterus with a cam...it sounds cool but I quickly realised I couldn't live with it everyday.

My boss has a supercharged VE. 650+ Hp A wiff of throttle and its instant tyre smoke

The throttle is like a light switch. So different than a turbo.. NO lag
