Just recalculated and modified my post, 250 days worked per year, 1hr each way, equals 500 hrs per year, that setup is almost 4 years old.

500 hrs....lol

Yeh but only one of the 3 systems mentioned here has fallen over multiple times on e85 and is by far the most expensive and keeps getting props for how good it is ........ Go figure

When you read between the lines of what Jet has posted, he is trying to tell us that he has already developed an E85 pump that last 10000hrs but he is not going to let us use it cause he likes to hold his cards close to his chest.

Just my interpretation!!

other suppliers have had issues with E85 fuel systems, it just seems that one company is coping all the flak, even Gates E85 compatible hoses had issues with our E85 and they had to change their formula of the rubber

I've now set an alarm to go off every 485 hours so as to not have pump failures. Fingers crossed.:o

Atleast kpm make it clear that 500 hours is it.

When I purchased my surge tank I wasn't told the pumps lifespan is 500hours! 044 btw.

When did you purchase the pump?

How many hrs has it done?

One pump is approximately 2 years old!

The other 1 year.

I've been to Sydney and back at least 15 times @ 6 hours each way! I've got issues now with the 044's but believe wiring is the issue, changing that today and if still no good then I will be binning the 044's. At idle the pressure jumps around a lot from 50-60psi needle doesn't stay still!!!!

Just think kpm are making sure everyone knows not to expect a lifetime life span on there pumps.

Is there any pump made 100% for E85 that can be mounted on the surge setup?
