Wreckers love to yank sh*t out with no care. Look, its probably doable but awkward. Did it with old motors years ago but I guess you dont want to split the box?

Yeah the I6 is a long motor. A hoist would be the go. then you could bring the box up from underneath. I do remember the days of lifting top loader 4 speeds in from the bottom of the car on car stands. Dead lift over your chest on the ground while trying to not knock off the clutch arm as you go through the thrust bearing. :mda:

I changed the chain 2 times to get different angle ,but both times I was unable to get the engine in .the last time the power steer rack was in the road ,so I might just undo the cross member to get more room .its a long motor which hits on the fire wall and the front radiator support and then fouls up at the power steering rack . I am gunna try again tomorrow .

I have tried and aborted. I used a engine crane and load leveller and couldn't get enough angle to clear the front X Member before the trans fouled the floor.

Jacking the car up higher to get the trans to clear the floor ment I ran out of height on the crane.

In short I gave up and fitted the trans first.

Long motor, that's your problem then, get a standard size one ;)

was trying to shrink the engine but the dryer door would not shut ,so I gave up :stupid:
