a bit hard to relate anything to rpm, but the dyno charts make it appear your set up is laggy and then comes on hard, that log seems to drop boost at the start of the run, are those logged via obd2? if so may not be 100% accurate if using obd2 generic pids as they are slower than ford specific pids, live link is great for data logging, well it is in most cars but not all

They are generic pids, (except AFR) so as you say they may not be 100%. I also use the HP tuners Scanner software for logging, it shows very similar information.. I think your right, it is abit laggy untill about 3000 it livens right up and is on full boost at about 3800

I've only been playing with the software for 3 months and have relied on many books and post to get where I am, I understand there is still a long way to go, but I'm loving the learning experience

Appreciate the input Mick

Haha I wish Masda, everything is very secretive in the tuning world which is 100% understandable as it's their bread and butter and they have worked hard to get where they are, so it's just a long trial and error process, but it gives you a great sense or achievement when you try something new

As far as a number goes u done well mate

Advice is always handy especially if its genuine

Have a look at big power graphs especially from respectable tuners and "see" what they have done in regards to boost and afr

That afr plot looks extremely lean, but I hope it has been set correctly for e85 ....

Have a think "why" and it becomes apparent especially when dialling in timing

DONT use the hp logger its JUNK

USE the sct livelink for data logging bare min

BOOST isn't always the answer

ALWAYS understand what uve done if not ask

Thanks jet, not bad for a 21yo carpenter hey? Haha.. I have read your "jets tuning thread" and their were a couple of little tips that came in handy, a lot of posts from toads have been handy also. I get what your saying and I will be taking it on board.

Unfortunately I sold my x3 so live link is a no go, I'm eagerly awaiting an update of the hp scanner which is supposed to have a lot better support for the fords.

"Boost isn't always the answer" noted

I don't really have anyone to ask to many questions and be taken seriously. So it's been a lot of trial and error

My fuel setup is not ideal at this power level, and I wouldn't suggest it to anyone, but it will do until I can afford a proper setup (within the next month) I think that is where some of my fuel issues are coming from (mainly injector data)..

What's the chances of sending you my file and getting some notes back on it?

Always happy to help where I can but as someone wise told me, take it all on board as many people know different things and alot can be learnt and iam far from knowing it all.

Re purchase a x3 no questions just do it, it will become apparent quite quickly as u learn and log as much as u can to see what the ford ecu is doing

Hp is good for changing the ecu but sct is the gun in telling you what its doing
