Yeah had fair few mods done to it was was returned back to stock when I traded it in. The a/c was re-gased in about October 2010..Yeah I took the oil screen out did have a an oil line but removed before sale. Gearbox was serviced at 100,000 with castrol transmax z and diff with castrol SAF- XA oil. Coils were replaced at 100,000 to with genuines. I used nulon 10-40 engine oil.I'm surprised by rust in the boot though had none when I had it.Did have another set of wheels on it Edited 23/05/14 07:38 AM by CHLAXN

Original motor lost compression so got it built by atomic performance. I fell on hard times with a back injury so had to part out all the bit off the car. That included the built motor which was sold to a forum member and still going good. Atomic performance ended up building me another motor for the car using all the gear out of the original motor including the F6 rods and pistons. That went in the car around around 110,000kms so was a fresh engine. If you look at the rego papers you will see it has a different engine number to the vin. Can't be any more honest with it. It was good buying for the money. Finding a previous owner that's as honest as CHLAXN is a real bonus after all it was his car too do what ever the hell he wanted, I hope you don't feel guilty about it! Otherwise I would be still wondering 10 years from now.I've got a couple of questions I hope you can answer CHLAXN.Can you put me in touch with the member you sold the motor too? Or get him to contact me if he wants to as I would like to keep track of the original block.Do you still have the original pod gauges? I like the autometer gauges and will keep those in place but would also like the originals as well.Is the exhaust system original as it seems to have a bit of a note? It sounds nice though! If I come across as a bit pedantic then I'm sorry it's just that I've been playing with cars for over 30years and remember well the 80s and 90s when GT fords were cheap and people thought nothing about keeping things original. When the prices went up I had mates trying to locate their old blocks for their GTs etc.Now a lot of people don't think the Typhoons will be worth anything in the future but IMO they maybe wrong and I think it's worth hanging onto the original gear.I'm not anti- modify , quiet the opposite it's just I'm old enough to remember and history often repeats! The Typhoons and XR6ts are a bit special IMHO !It was along time between the 70s GT falcons and Cobras before Ford made anything special , I mean a Turbo 6 that with minor mods can put out serious HP!I don't think the V8s will be as popular though IMO. It's old tech and GTs were just living on the glory days(sorry if I upset anybody but they didn't appeal to me where as the Typhoons really got my attention )Other cars that will be worth money down the track are the first of the WRXs( before they got porky) and the Aust delivered GTR 32s in original condition .Sorry to rattle on , I didn't mean too write a bloody book but this is where I'm coming from.Cheers!
