Do your suspension first, then work out what wheels you want and what will fit. I had my fg ute reset 4 inches in the rear (think the leaf basically upside down just sitting there) and ultra low springs in the front. there was no way I would have fit 20's, let alone 22's without them only being a horrible offset. I rekon some 19's or 20's if you want big rims with a good offset will look spot on. if you want 20's, you coouuulllddd possibly do 22's in the rear with an 8.5 or 9 inch rim with the offset high enough to sit them inside the gaurds, but youll be tucking a good 2 inches of rim in the rear!

At the end of the day its your car and you build it how you want, just remember alot of the guys on here are all about performance which is why they will push to have smaller rims, wider tyres etc haha. I think big rims can look good, but also remember youll have skinny rubber, potholes are going to be your worst enemy, and my ute with the stock 18's were already getting a little rough being that low. If you're prepared to put up with those things go for it!

Yeah its got 20s already but stock height so they look small but once I get the suspension done on Friday I think I'll be happy with it. I've heard the autos can bust the tail shaft if you drop them too much but a few of my friends have theirs lowered and even had to cut bump stops with no issues with the tail shaft.

Should be ok otherwise it's not a hard fix. But thank you :) I can't wait to see it done I think it will look sweet.

Sorry, I realised your new around here...it's a long running joke. Also, I'll say it more politely than some others who have been around for longer but most around here feel if you're responding to the post above you in a thread on this forum it's not necessary (and frowned up on by some) to quote the post. But on topic, I reckon do your suspension first and then see how you feel about the 20's...I've never thought to myself "gee, those 20's look tiny on that FG"...plus the ride on 22's would be about as comfortable as inserting a coke bottle into your jap's eye (for a bloke) :ermm:

Ok then. Thanks for that. I didn't know if people would get my reply if I didn't do that. I've had the 20's on for a while now I'd post a pic if I knew how to , I struggled just uploading my profile pic lol. And nice anology lol.

Those of us who frequent the site tend to just use the "New Content" section, so we'll see anything new that pops up. I see you're using Tapatalk, so that's the easiest way to upload photos. Just go into writing a proper reply (not the quick reply) and then click "Attach picture" from the menu icon (three little dots on the top right). Easy as that :) Might want to disable signatures in Tapatalk though, Dags (Dagabond) will get angry haha

This ain't no Facebook haha

Don't take what we too seriously

It's mostly sarcastic with a hidden undertone of truth,

Just wondering how the hell does it shoot flames on the stock tune?

I poured oil down my exhaust once and it did that but I wouldn't advice it due to the massive oil cloud I left everywhere

Ute's with auto too low can do tailshaft bearings

20's on a ute don't look big but don't look small either

22's will mean paying heaps of $$ for tyres or buy cheap tyres that don't grip for sh*t. It will look good and they'll fit in the rear of the ute but won't be practical. 20's with low works well on these cars and can still run decent tyre
