Test drove car all good, picked up and brakes havent stopped squeaking since than,

Going to upgrade anyway to DBA4000's hopefully unless anybody knows better for around the same pricing, just wondering will a ford/Expensive Daewoo dealership be able to do the upgrade or will I have to take it to a more specialised place?

Try a few hard stops from 100kmh to 40kmh in a row.

If squeal persists:

Get someone to stand outside the car in a carpark, while you brake to determine if the squealing is coming from the front or rear.

Change those pads.

Any mechanic can change the rotors. Simple job.

I recently bought a 2009 G6ET, and the front brakes squealed. I removed the pads, and put a very small smear of high-temp brake grease (came with a set of EBC pads for a different car) between the shims & the back of the pads. Refit & no more squeal. I've used this method on other cars in the past & it's always worked. Don't go overboard with the grease - just the smallest amount you can use to cover the shim.

Get some CRC Disc Brake Quiet.

I've put way too much on in this photo, but you get the general idea.

It also comes in an aerosol can, which is what I will be buying next time.

I put the dba4000's and bendix ults on my front. they didnt squeak for a while. rears just have the normal bendix pads and whatever rotors were on when I bought the car. they squeal like a gutted pig. going to replace the disc on rear with the DBA T2's and see if it quietens down. still get a squeal from fronts but its very intermittant. they have a anti-squeal stick on pad on the discs aswell
