The car is well serviced, has 105000km on the clock and has a few little mods like 4"dump turbo back exhaust, f6 intercooler, braided oil feed and turbosmart bov relocating adapter (closer to TB). My main issue with the car is how heavy the damn thing feels. Low end torque feels so sluggish. I have a boost gauge in the car and even with a little pressure on the accelerator the vacuum levels jump to 0 and it feels like the car just wants to go on boost which isn't ideal for me. My wife bought an FG NA XR6 MKII and that thing has unbelievably good throttle response comparatively. When speaking to technicians that do service work on my car they all say this can be rectified with a tune so hence I was looking into it. Can anyone recommend a good tuner in Sydney? I don't mind paying - I just don't want to get ripped off.

Can't imagine it would be too happy with the dump and exhaust without a tune? Those mods are also a great reason to stay clear of a generic tune - generic is setup for a stock vehicle - changing the exhaust/dump throws it even further away from a "one size fits all" option. Looks like cms is worth a gander, I'll look into it and keep you posted. @ratter, sorry mate what do you mean by "higher comp"?@raband, no mate it is still running the factory tune. It is well due for an edit. Thank you for explaining the other side of the 'generic tune' which isn't explained by the people trying to sell it to you.
