hi ,I bought a 12 psi turbosmart actuator and a turbosmart electronic boost controller (e street only ) so is it possible just to run 6 psi on one of the settings for street use ? can the boost controller do that ? just do not know if that could work . the only reason I ask ,if my misses drives the ute she just would sh*t her pants when boost is that high .my ute has about 330 plus rwkw .thanks for your replies .

I have a sct flash tuned by elite .so using the 12 psi actuator I can not go bellow that setting ?and yes I will get a retune done ,have done a lot of mods to ute so tune will be wrong . can I change the spring inside actuator to suit both 7 psi to 15 psi ?just thought it would be better to go a bit higher with the spring, have larger flapper mod done and a performance wheel fitted to standard housing (ba turbo). so do I really need a electronic boost controller ,thought they would be better to change boost on the go .hate to wait 15 min for sct to load up for the drag tune.also thought that the boost controller can keep boost more even ,no spikes or drops in boost .just started fitting up the boost controller but still trying to find the rpm wire from the car .

you will have no better control with that controller except you don't have to wait 4 minutes to reflash the BA. Spring pressure is the lowest boost you can run with any type of controller. If you are planning on running different boost levels, you need to make sure the tune is set at those levels, do not think because it does not ping at 15 psi that it will not ping with 12 psi unless it has been tuned at first 12 and then 15, there is no rpm wire, you also have to buy a tach adaptor.
