Hey guys.

I picked up an exhaust second hand. The rest of the exhaust is xforce however I am not sure if the cat is the same brand.

Anyway, has anyone else got one of these in their high flow cat?

Not sure If I should knock it out or not because it seems like a big restriction to me.

Any info on it would be great.

Thanks!

My thoughts? either kill the class off OR open the class to all models from the early 90's through today with modern engines retofitted as well as the partity controls they are now subject to. That would make for interesting racing

Thanks for the reply guys. It really had me puzzled when I first saw it.

I'd say that you would be spot on ratter. The guy I bought it off didn't seem to know a heap about these cars and his tuner wasn't anyone I had heard of. He is after a 600hp car as he had just bought a gt40, yet his tuner told him that the factory replacement 'monza' cooler would get him there....

Anyway, after sticking a torch into the cat today, I have found the core to be rooted. I'll probably just look to buy a new one but I have to ask, is there any performance gains to be lost or had with just punching the core out?

Now I know all about the EPA fines and such so I don't want this thread to head down that path.

Also does anyone know how much a new xforce bolt in cat is worth?

Cheers guys
